Dur-Loc® HiVac Cover by Paperchine

The unique patented Dur-Loc attaching device securely locks individual elements to a base grid, yet is easily disengaged to remove the element. Each Dur-Loc cover element can be replaced without removing the cover of the unit. Dur-Loc substructure with 316SS machine direction supports can be designed to accommodate pressure drops up to or in excess of 24″ Hg (80 kPa). Dur-Loc covers for high vacuum units are manufactured in flat, curved or special profile designs to suit new or existing installations. Rigid cover assemblies are bolted directly to new hivac units or designed to accommodate existing hivac cover configurations. Uninterrupted slots remove water evenly. Available in standard slot widths of 1″ (25 mm), 3/4″ (19 mm), 5/8″ (16 mm) and 1/2″ (13 mm); numbers of slots and widths are custom selected for each application. Elements can be supplied in a wide variety of ceramic materials carefully chosen and tested for paper machine operation. Elements are manufactured with chamfered or doctoring profiles to suit the application on the machine. Custom shapes can be designed. The Dur-Loc element’s FRP sub-base has a coefficient of thermal expansion consistent with the ceramic used. Individually adjustable end deckle pieces seal at wire level. Special high temperature deckles are available for service under steam hoods. Lubri-deckles are available to provide extra lubrication at fabric edges.
