We are pleased to announce the return of our AstenJohnson University – Pulp course this fall in Greenville, SC, USA.  This year will mark the sixth session of this course specializing in Pulp machines/dryers.  The course has sold out each year and the reviews are always excellent. Come join your peers and further your knowledge about pulp machine operation.

The course runs from Tuesday September 24 through Thursday September 26 in Greenville, SC. This course is suited for experienced operators and managers, but also provides an intense rapid learning session for those new to the pulp machine.

what you will learn:

Forming Fabrics and Press Fabrics Fundamentals: Learn key parameters of woven fabrics, how to use drainage and fiber support index, void volume, permeability and how it can impact your operations.

Forming: Participate in roundtables and presentations on Headbox, Formers, table setup, sheet quality, process optimization and new technology. You will find new approaches to addressing the challenges on your former.

Pressing: Press discussion will include Rolls, Showering, key learnings for optimization, troubleshooting, conditioning, and new technology in the press section. Case studies that share improvement opportunities are sure to provide you with practical ideas for improvement on your press section.

Sign ups are open now! To take advantage of this unique opportunity, please complete the registration form below.

This intensive 3 day session is designed for individuals who are operationally focused such as Superintendents, Machine Managers, Process Engineers or other leaders. The course material, which is used to facilitate discussion, also makes this training extremely valuable for Pulp operations leaders with a non-machine background. Class size is limited to maximize discussion and interactions.

Tuition and learning materials, lodging in Greenville, SC and all meals are included, as well as some social events in the evenings to allow for networking and informal roundtables.

There will be a tour of our Press Felt Manufacturing Facility in Clinton, SC for a first-hand look at the design, manufacture and testing of Press Felts for the Pulp and Paper Industry. This tour takes place on Wednesday September 25 and has always been highly rated.

You should fly into and out of Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport (GSP) arriving before evening Monday September 23, and depart after 6 PM on Thursday September 26.

If you have any questions, please contact or your AstenJohnson representative. We hope to see you and/or a member of your team this fall.
